Local image processing

JPG Optimizer performs image resizing, conversion, compression and optional visual analysis inside your browser. Images, processed results, filenames and generated alt text are not sent to our servers during the normal optimization workflow.

Optional hosted image links

If you click Copy link for a completed image, only the optimized output image is uploaded to the configured hosting service so a public URL can be created. Originals are not uploaded, and hosted links should expire after 90 days through the configured storage lifecycle rule.

Browser storage

Strictly necessary local browser storage remembers your theme and privacy choices. The optional Smart Visual Naming model may be cached in browser-managed storage after you choose to download it. Images and output files remain in memory only for the active session.

Consent-aware analytics

Google Analytics 4 is not loaded unless you grant analytics consent. If enabled, it receives sanitized page titles and pathnames plus general browser and device information. Advertising signals and personalization remain disabled.

Images, filenames, generated alt text, processing results, ZIP or CSV contents, and text entered into the optimizer are never included in analytics events. You can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings.
